Section 01
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website therealinsgroup.com (“Site”), submitting a quote request or contact form, requesting a callback, or engaging any services offered by The Real INS Group (“we,” “us,” “our,” “Agency”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or our services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, prospective clients, current clients, and any other users who access the Site or engage with the Agency. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site following notice of modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Read Before You Proceed
These Terms contain important disclaimers about the nature of insurance agency services, including limitations on liability and clarifications about the advisory scope of our services. Section 4 (No Legal or Financial Advice) and Section 10 (Limitation of Liability) are particularly important.
Section 02
Description of Services
The Real INS Group is an independent insurance brokerage that provides insurance placement, consultation, and service on behalf of individuals and businesses. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining insurance quotes from multiple licensed insurance carriers
- Advising on available coverage options based on information you provide
- Binding coverage on your behalf with licensed insurance carriers
- Servicing existing insurance policies (endorsements, cancellations, renewals)
- Assisting clients in the insurance claims process
- Providing general insurance education and resources through our website
Our services are provided as an independent insurance agent/broker. We represent you, the client, in placing insurance with carriers — we are not employees or captive agents of any specific insurance company.
Service availability by state: Our ability to provide services is limited to states in which we hold active insurance licenses. See Section 3 for licensing information. If we are not licensed in your state, we may be unable to place coverage on your behalf.
Website Content is Informational Only
Content published on this Site, including blog posts, guides, articles, and general insurance information, is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute a quote, offer to insure, binding coverage, or insurance advice tailored to your specific situation. Insurance policies contain exclusions, conditions, and limitations that cannot be fully described in general website content. Always review your actual policy documents.
Section 03
Insurance Licensing
The Real INS Group is a licensed independent insurance agency. We operate in compliance with applicable state insurance laws and regulations in each state where we place coverage. All agents representing The Real INS Group hold valid insurance producer licenses in the states where they transact insurance business.
License Disclosure
Insurance products offered through The Real INS Group are subject to state availability, eligibility requirements, and the terms and conditions of the applicable insurance carrier. Not all products are available in all states.
- Primary State
Indiana — License on file - Additional States
Licensed in multiple states — contact us to verify your state
For questions about licensing in a specific state, contact us at sales@therealinsgroup.com or (317) 245-8700.
Carrier Relationships
As an independent brokerage, we work with multiple insurance carriers. Our compensation is typically paid by insurance carriers in the form of commissions and may vary by carrier and product. We may have contractual relationships with some carriers that could influence the products we recommend. We are committed to recommending coverage that serves your best interests based on the information you provide.
Section 04
No Legal or Financial Advice
No Legal Advice
The Real INS Group is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal opinions. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of this Site or our services. Any statements we make regarding legal matters — including coverage interpretations, policy conditions, or regulatory requirements — are for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal advice. For questions about the legal implications of your insurance coverage or any legal matter, consult a qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.
No Financial Advice
We are not registered investment advisors, financial planners, or licensed financial advisors. Nothing on this Site or in our communications constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to purchase, hold, or sell any financial instrument or product. Insurance recommendations we make are based on your stated coverage needs and available carrier products — they are not financial planning or investment guidance. For financial planning or investment advice, consult a qualified financial professional.
General Information Only
Insurance information published on this Site — including articles, blog posts, guides, and coverage explanations — is general in nature and reflects conditions that may not apply to your specific situation, state of residence, or coverage needs. We make no representation that any specific product, coverage amount, or carrier is appropriate for you based on Site content alone. Coverage determinations are made based on actual applications, underwriting, and policy issuance.
Section 05
Non-Fiduciary Relationship
In our capacity as an independent insurance agent/broker, The Real INS Group does not act as a fiduciary to clients, except as specifically required by applicable state law. We owe you a duty of reasonable care and honest dealing in connection with the placement and servicing of your insurance. However, we do not owe you fiduciary duties (such as an affirmative duty to identify every possible coverage gap or to advise on matters outside the scope of the coverage you request).
This means:
- You are responsible for informing us of all relevant facts, risks, and coverage needs
- We will act on the information you provide to obtain appropriate coverage
- We are not obligated to independently investigate your risk profile beyond what you disclose
- You should review all policy documents and coverage summaries carefully
- You should ask us questions about coverage you do not understand before binding
If you require fiduciary insurance or financial services, please engage a qualified fiduciary professional.
Section 06

By submitting forms on our Site or engaging our services electronically, you agree to receive documents, notices, disclosures, and communications in electronic form pursuant to the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) and applicable state electronic transaction laws.
This consent to electronic records applies to:
- Insurance quotes and coverage proposals
- Policy documents and endorsements
- Renewal notices and billing communications
- Disclosure forms and privacy notices
- Claims correspondence and status updates

You have the right to request paper copies of any electronic document at no charge. You may withdraw your consent to electronic communications at any time by contacting us in writing. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the validity of electronic records already received.

User Responsibilities
By using our Site and services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information. All information you submit in quote forms, contact forms, applications, and other interactions must be truthful and complete to the best of your knowledge. Providing false or misleading information may invalidate coverage and may constitute insurance fraud, which is a crime.
- Disclose material facts. You are responsible for disclosing all facts that are material to the insurance coverage you are seeking. Omission of material facts may affect coverage or result in policy rescission.
- Review your policy documents. You are responsible for reviewing all policy documents, declarations pages, exclusions, and conditions provided by insurance carriers. If you have questions, contact us before binding or renewing coverage.
- Notify us of changes. You are responsible for notifying us promptly of changes that may affect your coverage, including changes in vehicles, property, business operations, employees, or other insurable interests.
- Lawful use only. You may not use this Site for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that violates these Terms. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure.
- No automated scraping. You may not use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content or data from this Site.
Section 09
Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information presented on this Site. However, insurance products, rates, availability, and regulatory requirements change frequently. We do not warrant that all content on this Site is current, accurate, or complete.
Pricing and availability: Any premium estimates or coverage indications provided through our website are preliminary and subject to change based on full underwriting review, final application data, and carrier guidelines. No coverage is bound until you receive written confirmation from us or the applicable carrier.
Carrier information: Carrier logos, names, and product descriptions are provided for informational purposes. Availability of specific carriers in your state or for your risk type may vary.
Section 10
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
The Real INS Group, its owners, employees, agents, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of this Site or our services, including but not limited to:
- Loss of coverage, claims denial, or underinsurance resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information you provided
- Errors or delays in policy issuance or renewal not caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct
- Actions or omissions of insurance carriers, including claims handling decisions
- Interruptions to or unavailability of this Site
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information (except as caused by our failure to maintain reasonable security)
- Reliance on general information published on this Site
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS SITE OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF COMMISSIONS EARNED BY US IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR INSURANCE PLACEMENT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING YOUR CLAIM, OR (B) $500.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Insurance Carrier Responsibility
The Real INS Group acts as an intermediary between clients and insurance carriers. We are not responsible for the financial solvency of any insurance carrier, the terms and conditions of policies issued by carriers, coverage decisions made by carriers, or claims handling by carriers. Your insurance contract is with the carrier, not with The Real INS Group.
Section 11
Errors & Omissions
The Real INS Group maintains professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance coverage. If you believe we have made an error or omission in connection with your coverage placement or service, please notify us immediately in writing so we may investigate and attempt to remedy the situation.
Prompt notification of potential errors is essential. Delayed notification may limit available remedies and affect coverage under our errors and omissions policy. We are committed to resolving legitimate errors fairly and promptly.
Reporting a potential error to The Real INS Group does not waive your rights or extend any applicable statute of limitations for claims against us.
Section 12
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, blog articles, and design elements — is the property of The Real INS Group or its content providers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, print, or download content from this Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, repost, or otherwise use content from this Site for commercial purposes without prior written permission from The Real INS Group.
The name “The Real INS Group,” our logo, and related marks are trademarks of The Real INS Group. Nothing on this Site grants any license to use our marks without prior written consent.
Section 13
Third-Party Links & Carrier Sites
This Site may contain links to third-party websites, including insurance carrier websites, payment portals, and informational resources. These links are provided for your convenience. The Real INS Group does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms of service.
Clicking a link to a third-party site means you are leaving our Site and are subject to that site’s policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy and terms of any third-party site you visit.
Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement by The Real INS Group of any third-party site, product, or service.
Section 14
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, your state of residence may have consumer protection laws that apply to your insurance relationship with us. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable state insurance laws or regulations.
Section 15
Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently. If you have a concern or dispute with The Real INS Group, please contact us first at sales@therealinsgroup.com or (317) 245-8700. Many issues can be resolved through direct communication.
State Insurance Department Complaints
If you have a complaint about an insurance product, coverage decision, or the conduct of an insurance agent, you have the right to file a complaint with your state’s Department of Insurance. The Real INS Group is licensed and regulated by state insurance authorities, and you may contact them directly.
Arbitration
For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you and The Real INS Group agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration administered by a mutually agreed-upon arbitration service under its rules, rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or misuse. The arbitration shall take place in Indianapolis, Indiana. This arbitration agreement does not apply to claims arising under your insurance policy, which are governed by the terms of that policy and applicable insurance law.
